GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our Lucaya Reef Village is the fun, yet tender heart of Grand Bahama Island. The 478-room resort faces 7.5 acres of soft, white sand beach, winding along the sparkling turquoise waters of the gentle Bahamian coast. This resort residing on the fourth largest of the Bahama islands is alive with Caribbean flair. Arches and columns add a sense of majesty to the airy, sinuous Bahamian-inspired lobby and hallways.
Guest roomsâ honey-toned furniture and walls clearly inspired by the sandy beach just a few feet away, are adorned with perfect night sleep beds designed for restful slumber. Each room is artfully simple in design, with Bahamian plantation shutters opening up to spectacular views. More than half of the rooms at Our Lucaya Reef Village directly face the glittering blue ocean. GOLF
Our Lucaya is home to two of the finest golf courses in the Bahamas â The Reef Club and Lucayan Country Club. Both have hosted the PGAâs Bahamas National Open, the Senior PGAâs Slam, and 12 other national championships. The Reef Club course created in 2000 by renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., who has designed more than 200 golf courses during his career, sprawls out over 6,930 yards. The 18-hole, par-72 contemporary links-style course offers golfers of all levels a breathtaking layout with 13 holes bordered by picturesque lakes. Its wide fairways and large, level greens require a strong short game.
The 6,824-yard Lucayan Country Club course is a classic, originally designed by acclaimed golf course architect Dick Wilson in 1962. The 18-hole, par-72 course is infamous for its shaded, tree-lined fairways, small elevated greens and Wilson-trademark bunkers guarding almost every pin. The Lucayan Country Club provides a true challenge for golfers desiring to put their skill and accuracy to the test.
FITNESS CENTER
Resort guests are immersed in a multi-sensory experience at the 25,000 square-foot spa and fitness center. The Center offers state-of-the-art equipment and fitness classes. WATER SPORTS & BOATING
Snorkeling and scuba diving equipment and lessons are offered at the resortâs Water Sports Center. The Center can also arrange windsurfing, parasailing, banana boating, jet skiing, boating, sailing, fishing, and other âwater-fulâ adventures that are sure to set the heart alight. The sparkling ocean surface hides an underwater world resplendent with life. Coral reefs attract marlin, sailfish, tuna, mahi-mahi, bonefish and mackerel.
SPORT FACILITIES
Next door, The Radisson at Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort serves up the only Fast Grand Slam tennis courts in the Caribbean â innovative facilities which feature replicas of some of the worldâs best-known court surfaces â such as the red clay of the French Open, the manicured grass of Wimbledon, and the DecoTurf of the U.S. Open.
