Swingline is the manufacturer of many fine hole punches and staplers, and they even produce some of the best pencil sharpeners around. One of these products is the 29966, a personal electric sharper. Here are its strengths and weaknesses so you can learn all about it and decide if it's the device you need for yourself.

Strengths:

* The 29966 is ideal for sharpening pencils in almost any environment: the home, the office, and the classroom (of course). This device is nice and small so not only will it not take up much room, it will be easy to transport. Also, it operates quietly so that no one will be distracted by it. (A must-have feature, especially if you plan on using this device in a classroom or office)

* There's nothing worse than a sharpener that eats up all of your pencil. You don't need to worry about that happening with the 29966 because it's equipped with a lead saver feature. This feature ensures that your writing utensils will be perfectly sharpened and that they'll last a lot longer.

* The 29966 has carbon steel blades so you can be sure that this device is well-made. The blades will sharpen and smooth your writing utensils' points to perfection.

* If you want to keep your pencils handy, you can do so with this device. That's because it has a storage area in the back. You can use this area to store and organize your pencils so they'll always be handy.

* This is a well-designed device and it will look great wherever you decide to use it. The neon green details will be especially attractive to younger users while older ones will appreciate this sharpener's staid black casing.

* The 29966's shavings cup is really easy to empty. It's also pretty big so you won't need to empty it very often which can be a messy experience.

* Finally, this sharpener's warranty lasts a generous 2 years. It's also affordable so you'll be able to get a high-quality Swingline device for a small amount of cash.

Weaknesses:

* Unlike some of Swingline's other sharpeners, the 29966 lacks a rotating dial that allows you to sharpen pencils of 6 different sizes. This would have been a great feature for this device to have.

* Some people might be put off by this product's bright green details. Unfortunately, no other color schemes are available.

Although the Swingline 29966 Personal Electric Pencil Sharpener has a couple of weaknesses, it large number of strengths more than makes up for it. This is a great device that will do a fantastic job of sharpening your writing utensils but it won't sharpen them too much and leave you with nothing but a stub. This product is well-made, looks great (although the green might be a bit too much for some people), and it's backed by an excellent warranty. In short, the 29966 is perfect for home, office, and school use, so be sure to take a look at it today.
